Here is the essence of coopering in the new millenium. The Nadaliť family has produced barrels in Bordeaux throughout the 20th century. Most of the great vintages in France have been aged in Nadaliť barrels. In the Nadaliť house today, you will see the current generation - Christine, Stephane, Guillaume - upholding the family tradition.
"Hands on" in the Nadaliť family begins with Stephane who studies and selects the trees. At auction time he can be seen in all of the major forests. The trees are bought standing, felled, processed into staves through our own mills, and in turn put to aging in the watchful care of Guillaume.
The newest, state-of-the-art cooperage, located at Ludon, Bordeaux, France, reflects progressive thinking and foresight on the part of the Nadaliť family. Stephane oversees production to provide maximum efficiency while preserving traditional methods. Christine, who holds the highest educational degree in winemaking, travels worldwide to ensure an ideal match between wine and oak.
